Engineered to deliver industry-leading thermal insulation, structural shielding, and heavy-duty field pipeline corrosion control.
E-E-A-T Certified Industrial Leader
CYCT New Materials Company Limited (for short, CYCT) is a state-level high-tech enterprise integrating R&D, production, and sales of pipeline corrosion protection materials. Our scope extends to buried pipeline detection services and pipeline coating field application services, providing clients with a closed-loop engineering system. Founded in the year 2000, CYCT has dedicated itself to the design, synthesis, and enhancement of polymer protective coatings and specialty thin wall tubes for over two decades.
Our focus is rooted in structural integrity, environmental resistance, and raw material dependability. Operating in hazardous oil, gas, municipal utility, and industrial settings means our products cannot afford to fail. Therefore, we utilize leading-edge chemical technologies to formulate cross-linked polyolefins, polyester thin wall insulation (PET), and advanced fiber-reinforced heat shrink configurations that meet high international benchmarks.
CYCT owns leading testing and R&D capabilities, backed by a professional R&D team and a national CNAS-accredited laboratory. This accreditation guarantees that our validation procedures—ranging from tensile stress tests to cathodic disbondment assays—are globally recognized and certified. Over the years, we have become a stable supplier of field joint coatings for leading energy groups, including PetroChina, Sinopec, PipeChina, and multiple localized energy networks. Our domestic market share is matched by our growing footprint in global infrastructure, supplying critical materials to global projects, such as the Indian Oil Corporation.
Next-Generation Polymer Processing
Using high-energy electron beams to alter the linear molecular chains of polyethylene and polypropylene. This creates an interconnected 3D network, raising the mechanical endurance and heat tolerance of our sleeves to above 120°C.
Our PET heat shrink tubes provide electrical insulation and structural isolation with thin cross-sections. Highly optimized shrink ratios allow fast installation without compromising electrical resistance.
By embedding directional fiberglass mesh within the heat-shrinkable backing, we restrict axial elongation and elevate shear resistance, protecting pipelines from soil stresses and installation friction.
In our forward-looking research program, CYCT is pioneering smart material technologies. We are integrating micro-encapsulated active corrosion inhibitors and viscoelastic compounds directly into the backing layers. When subjected to stress-induced micro-fractures, these micro-capsules rupture, releasing high-viscosity healing agents that seal voids and prevent moisture ingress.
Additionally, our development team is optimizing ultraviolet (UV) curing formulations and polyurea-modified compounds to meet the demanding parameters of deep-sea structures and extreme trenchless pipeline applications. Our target is a 50+ year maintenance-free lifecycle for pipelines exposed to harsh conditions.
Engineered for Hard Environments
Modern industrial projects require specialized, tailored anti-corrosion solutions. Generic thin-wall wraps fail when exposed to shifting soil loads, high temperatures, and abrasive conditions. CYCT addresses these issues with application-specific engineering designs:
Trenchless piping methods drag field joints through abrasive rocky strata. Standard wraps peel and tear under these conditions. CYCT's FRDP Fiber-Reinforced Heat Shrink Sleeves and Photo-Curing GRP Protective Sheets provide durable mechanical armor. They offer high shear resistance to prevent coating damage during pullback operations.
Heavy crude and deep-well gas pipelines run at elevated temperatures that degrade standard adhesives. Our high-temperature PP outer tapes and specialized 3LPP repair patches maintain high adhesion levels, low cathodic disbondment rates, and long-term chemical stability even under constant thermal loads.
By partnering with R&D institutes like the CNPC Pipeline Science Research Institute, CYCT delivers integrated solutions for in-service pipelines. This includes buried pipeline corrosion surveys, cathodic protection design, pipeline rehabilitation project execution, and long-term structural safety evaluations. We don't just supply products; we engineer field reliability.
Industrial Digitalization & Factory 4.0
CYCT's production facilities integrate modern manufacturing technologies to ensure high dimensional accuracy, uniform thickness, and consistent physical properties across our thin wall tubing and protective sleeve lines:
Gravimetric dosing systems ensure accurate polymer compounding and masterbatch dispersion. This is critical for stabilizing thermal stabilizers, UV blockers, and carbon black concentrations throughout the plastic matrix.
Continuous ultrasonic scanning monitors wall thickness across the entire tube extrusion run. Any deviation beyond ±0.05 mm triggers automatic adjustments, preventing thin spots that could compromise electrical or mechanical properties.
By sourcing high-quality local feedstocks and maintaining strategic reserves of specialty polymers, CYCT mitigates the risk of supply disruptions. This allows us to guarantee reliable delivery schedules for major infrastructure projects.
Verified Compliance Matrix
Compliance is essential for high-risk engineering projects. CYCT materials undergo testing and qualification to meet major global pipeline corrosion protection standards. Our compliance portfolio includes:
CYCT holds key credentials, including Council Membership in the Chinese Society for Corrosion and Protection (CSCP), the Qualification Certificate of Corrosion Protection Construction, the Qualification Certificate of Pipeline Detection, and is a corporate member of the China Association of Petroleum Engineering Construction (CAPEC).
Our products comply with standard testing protocols, including ISO 21809-3, EN 12068, ASTM D638, and ASTM D2671. Whether engineering heat shrink sleeves for cold climates or viscoelastic systems for variable soil conditions, we provide full material test reports (MTR) and traceability documentation with every delivery batch.
Industrial OEM/ODM Services
As a key supplier to international developers and engineering firms, CYCT supports a streamlined procurement process designed to meet corporate sourcing standards:
Engineering Knowledge Base
Thin wall protective tubing (such as PET shrink sleeves and thin-gauge polyolefin wraps) balances weight and material efficiency with electrical insulation and barrier performance. Unlike heavy-gauge heat-shrink sleeves used for mainline field joints, thin-walled variations are optimized for faster shrink times, tighter contours around irregular shapes, and installation in compact electrical, municipal gas, or industrial distribution configurations where space and weight are key constraints.
During HDD operations, the pipeline is pulled through pre-drilled underground boreholes containing rock, gravel, and abrasive soil. Standard heat-shrink sleeves can tear under high shear forces. Our FRDP sleeves feature integrated fiberglass reinforcement that forms a high-strength composite backing. This design resists axial stretching, tear propagation, and abrasive wear, ensuring the primary anti-corrosion barrier remains intact during pullback.
Viscoelastic Tape VT95 is a cold-applied polyolefin compound designed with liquid-like cold flow properties to provide self-healing protection. It does not require a primer. The tape wets the metal substrate directly, filling micro-cavities and forming a barrier against water and oxygen. It maintains constant adhesion without curing, remaining flexible down to -35°C.
Extruded polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP) consists of linear molecular chains that melt at high temperatures. Exposing the extruded backing to high-energy electron beams cross-links these chains into a 3D network. This gives the polymer a shape-memory effect: it can be stretched while hot, cooled to lock in the expanded shape, and will shrink back to its original dimensions when reheated, without melting.
Our pipeline protection line meets ISO 21809-3 (standard for field joint coatings) and EN 12068 (classes B and C, depending on temperature rating). Our in-house testing laboratory is CNAS accredited, allowing us to perform and certify tests for peel strength, indentation resistance, cathodic disbondment, electrical resistance, and long-term aging under ISO guidelines.
