◎ Construction: three-layer system.
◎ First layer: liquid epoxy, solvent-free, two-component.
◎ Second layer: high shear strength hot-melt adhesive.
◎ Third layer: radiation cross-linked, high density polyethylene, fiber reinforced composite structure.
◎ Additional component: Wear Cone as extra protection against pull-through forces, of the same construction as the main sleeve.
The FRDK heat shrinkable fiberglass reinforced sleeves provides effective protection against abrasion and wear forces that occur during the pull-through operation. The system is fully compatible with cathodic protection systems, resists cathodic disbandment and is designed for a wide range of operating temperatures.
