They are particularly ideal for safeguarding oil, gas, and water pipelines, along with fittings, elbows, bends, and other irregular shapes. Trust in our expertise to provide reliable, high-quality solutions for all your pipeline protection needs

Product Description

Construction

The installation is carried out directly on the cleaned and prepared pipe surface without any primer. During installation, heat shrink sleeve in 30m is to be wrapped spirally around the bend with 50% overlap. The carrier is heated and shrinks tightly around the substrate; at the moment, the sealing adhesive melts and is forced into all surface irregularities, forming a thorough coating and a complete bond with the substrate.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the installation process for heat shrink sleeves?

The installation is carried out directly on the cleaned and prepared pipe surface without any primer. The heat shrink sleeve is wrapped spirally around the bend with 50% overlap, then heated to shrink tightly around the substrate while the sealing adhesive melts and bonds with the surface.

What are the available dimensions for PE shrink sleeves?

PE shrink sleeves are available in 30m length per roll. Width options range from 50mm to 600mm (including 50mm, 75mm, 100mm, 150mm, 200mm, 250mm, 300mm, 350mm, 400mm, 450mm, 500mm, 520mm, 550mm, 600mm). Thickness options include 1.8mm, 2.0mm, 2.2mm, 2.5mm, 2.8mm, 3.0mm, and 3.2mm.

What is the minimum impact resistance requirement?

The minimum impact resistance requirement is ≥15J according to Appendix H testing method. Our product test results show performance exceeding 15J, ensuring excellent protection against mechanical impact.

What primer thickness options are available?

We offer two types of primer application: wet film and dry film. Available primer thickness options include 120um, 150um, 200um, 300um, and 400um to meet different project requirements.

How does the product perform in terms of cathodic disbondment resistance?

At 23°C, the cathodic disbondment resistance is 3.5mm (requirement ≤20mm), and at 60°C it is 8mm. These results demonstrate excellent adhesion performance under cathodic protection conditions, as tested according to Appendix K.

What is the peel strength to pipe surface?

The peel strength to pipe surface at 23°C is 10.0 N/mm (requirement ≥1.0 N/mm) and at 60°C is 1.2 N/mm (requirement ≥0.1 N/mm). This ensures strong and reliable bonding between the sleeve and the pipe substrate across different temperature conditions.
