The field joint coating of PP heat shrink sleeve (wraparound-type) coating system include the following components:

  • Epoxy primer; The epoxy primer is specially formulated 100% volume solids (solvent less) two component epoxy. The general thickness of epoxy primer is200 microns (DFT), the primer thickness can be offered according to client requirements.
  • Premanufactured heat-shrinkable sleeve (wraparound-type), the heat-shrinkable sleeve consist of a polypropylene-based backing coated withhigh performance hot melt adhesive layer. The wraparound-type heat shrink sleeve with closure patch and filler strips for seal.
