The composition of the pipe wrap tape - polypropylene rubberized bitumen consists of three layers, PP film backing, rubberized bitumen adhesive layer and separator sheet.
Adhesive: Rubberized bitumen Compound
Film Backing: Polypropylene woven geotextile
Interleaving: Silicone coated separator sheet
Non-Shielding Anti-Corrosion Structure: Adopts a non-shielding design that does not interfere with the normal operation of the pipeline's cathodic protection system.
Superior Cathodic Disbondment Resistance: PP Cold Tape adhesive layer has strong bonding force with steel substrates, which significantly extends the service life of pipelines.
Excellent UV Resistance: The PP backing material has good UV resistance capability, which is not easy to age, crack or degrade when exposed to outdoor environments for a long time. It is suitable for open-air conditions such as overhead pipelines and roofs.
High Mechanical Strength: The woven structure endows the material with excellent mechanical strength. After being buried underground, it can resist external forces such as soil settlement, extrusion and plant root penetration, keeping the coating intact.
Effective Moisture Barrier: The rubberized bitumen adhesive layer has high compactness, which can effectively block the intrusion of moisture, vapor and corrosive media.
Strong Flexibility: The PP Cold Applied Tape has strong flexibility, which can closely adhere to pipeline curved surfaces, corners and irregular bases. Moreover, the overall thickness is uniform without local thin spots, ensuring stable protection effect.
Waterproof Sealing Performance: PP Cold Applied tape has excellent waterproof sealing performance, which can be widely used in various scenarios such as basements, bridges, roofs, storage tanks and culverts, effectively blocking the penetration of surface water and groundwater.
