It effectively conforms to various shapes including fittings, elbows, bends, and other irregular objects, ensuring a reliable seal and long-lasting protection. Trust in our products for high-quality performance from a leading manufacturer in China

Product Description

Construction

No primer required — the sleeve is installed directly on the cleaned and prepared pipe surface.

The installation is carried out directly on the cleaned and prepared pipe surface without any primer. During installation, heat shrink sleeve in 30m is to be wrapped spirally around the bend with 50% overlap. The carrier is heated and shrinks tightly around the substrate; at the moment, the sealing adhesive melts and is forced into all surface irregularities, forming a thorough coating and a complete bond with the substrate.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q Does the heat shrink sleeve require a primer before installation?
No, the heat shrink sleeve does not require any primer. It is installed directly on the cleaned and prepared pipe surface, simplifying the installation process and reducing preparation time.
Q How is the heat shrink sleeve applied to a pipe bend?
The 30m heat shrink sleeve is wrapped spirally around the bend with a 50% overlap. Once heat is applied, the carrier shrinks tightly around the substrate and the sealing adhesive melts to fill all surface irregularities, forming a complete bond.
Q What sleeve widths and thicknesses are available?
Sleeve widths are available from 50mm up to 600mm (50mm, 75mm, 100mm, 150mm, 200mm, 250mm, 300mm, 350mm, 400mm, 450mm, 500mm, 520mm, 550mm, 600mm). Thickness options range from 1.8mm to 3.2mm (1.8mm, 2.0mm, 2.2mm, 2.5mm, 2.8mm, 3.0mm, 3.2mm), all supplied in 30m rolls.
Q What primer thickness options are available, and what application methods are supported?
Two primer application methods are available: wet film and dry film. Primer thickness options include 120µm, 150µm, 200µm, 300µm, and 400µm to suit different project specifications.
Q What is the peel strength performance of the heat shrink sleeve to the pipe surface?
The peel strength to the pipe surface at 23°C is ≥1.0 N/mm (tested result: 10.0 N/mm), and at 60°C is ≥0.1 N/mm (tested result: 1.2 N/mm), significantly exceeding the minimum requirements and demonstrating excellent adhesion performance.
Q How does the sleeve perform under UV exposure and thermal ageing conditions?
Under UV irradiation resistance testing, the elongation at break ratio is 0.91 and tape strength ratio is 0.85, both within the required range of 0.75–1.25. After thermal ageing at 100 days/80°C, all key performance ratios including tape strength, elongation at break, peel strength layer-to-layer, and peel strength to pipe surface meet or exceed the specified requirements.
